Prof. Harjit Vasudev has retired as Director of Regional Institute of English, Chandigarh. She is MA ( English ) from  Rajasthan University and M.Ed (Education) from University of Wales. She has done Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching (PGDTE) from CIEFL, Hyderabad.

She has vast experience of organizing and teaching on courses held by UGC, British Council, CIEFL, NCERT, NCTE, CBSE and various school education boards and SCERTs of the northern region.

She has written textbooks in English for higher classes of Punjab School Education Board. She has authored and co-edited Pearls and Ripples series-textbook in English for pre-primary, primary and upper primary classes – published by Future Kids Publication, New Delhi.
