Dr. Abhilash Nayak, educated from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur University, Sambalpur, worked as a lecturer in English in different colleges of Odisha, Government PG College, Sector-46, Chandigarh and Regional Institute of English, Chandigarh before he joined  IGNOU as a Regional Director in 2008.  

He has authored books like English Grammar, Communicate Effectively in English, Communicative English, Parts I & II.  His e-book Communicate2Connect is available on WikiEducator. He is the General Editor (Language) for two series of books PEARLS and RIPPLES from KG-I to Standard VIII published by Future Kids, Daryaganj, New Delhi. His research papers on different aspects of English language, literature, use of ICT in teaching of English and open and distance education have been published in national and international journals.  

At present he is working in Patna as a  Senior Regional Director of IGNOU.
